Maybe a Mercury, but it isn't. Maybe a T-Bird, but it isn't that either. Ditto a Meteor. And while it isn't from 1962, it's within a decade of there, more or less. But... you ARE all on the right track!

Pontiac Tempest? Or are you hinting at FOMOCO?

Not a Tempest, LTD, or Galaxie... but I AM hinting at FoMoCo!
(Nice try with those Tempest hubcaps, though, Glenn!)

Not a Cougar or any Falcon, although those Falcon wheel covers do look a lot like the parts I posted. Think older and more expensive. One more (possible) clue: Look at the size of the parts I posted in relation to the sprue...

Ooh... Nice guess... Sorry, you're definitely looking at the size of the part in relation to the sprue, but try thinking the other direction now: Maybe it isn't that the PART is smaller...

Another good guess. The wheel covers shown on that box look amazingly like the parts I put up. Unfortunately, you over, er, UNDERshot the scale.

Let's briefly recap where we stand at the moment:

1) It's a FoMoCo product, but not a Mercury, a T-Bird, or a Meteor. Could still be a Lincoln, a Continental, or an Edsel.
2) It's within a decade either way of 1962.
3) It's a smaller scale than 1:24/1:25.
4) Today's hint - You guessed right, they ARE wheel covers/hubcaps and not taillights, etc

(Greg: If I sneak you another hint, will you set me up with a cheesesteak? I promise to order in English! I'm less than an hour away from Geno's. B) )

Getting warmer, almost hot now... To my eye, it's "Accurately Scaled" right in the 1:32 range...

Is that '61 Falcon a PALMER kit??? No it's not from a Palmer kit or any other "Brand X" kit for that matter. It's one of the bigger, mainstream companies, and it's still in business, even though this kit first came out "back in the day". There is a double hint in my post from yesterday, but you have to know how to read it...

I think I posted a tough one! If you guys want me to, I'd be willing to give the answer and move along to the next part. I'd have to have someone else post it since my Photobucket is currently fouled up. I haven't been able to access my pictures or upload any new ones for a couple of days now.
