mannyclub
Hello modelers! I built this dio about 5-6 yrs ago and just sold it last year. Im working on another one now and will get some new pics up soon. Its a little smaller then the other one, however im going to make it bigger as time goes on. Never have enough room though right? lol Well here is one shot from the back of the shop, and you can see all the other pictures of it here: http://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/club-storage/craig_hosfelds_mode/dioramas/current_garage_diorama/ Some other machines etc: http://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/club-storage/craig_hosfelds_mode/scratchbuilt_items/tools_and_machinery/ Also most all of the machines, boxes etc are scratchbuilt and made by me. The lathe (newer style) i cast and have been selling for around 4yrs now. kit has around 40+ parts to it with instructions and has, resin parts, aluminum and plastic parts to it. The lathe shown in this dio was the first one I can post a pic of the new one that has had many upgrades to it since then. It comes with doors and aluminum handles, the doors go on each side of the cabnet. Thanks for looking!! Manny

highway
Very impressive, Manny! I have thought of doing something similar for a long time with a 69 Charger I'm missing glass to, making it look as if it's undergoing restoration. Also, is the car lift from the Fujimi garage and tools kit or did you make that as well.

I'm glad you like my idea too, I figured what better to do with a kit with no glass I already have two more of than build it to where it didn't need glass. I hope to actually start it one of these years!

I really haven't planned much out, with the exception I have a Fujimi gararge and tool kit and another Fujimi garage kit to go with it. Other than that, it really hasn't gone into the planning stage, yet.

vaughn
Those are awesome. Gotta ask....How big are these shops or an overall demension ? You definetly have the scale and proportions down. I know you say you make all of your tools and stuff but is alot of these things also available thru Fujimi? I am working on a old barn dio, with an abandoned 30s Packard with a crude and raw atmosphere. Not gonna have the modern stuff but I want the inside demensions of the barn to be more correct as yours are. That is why I am wondering about the size. The scale I am using is 1/25. Anyway....looked at your Foki site. Good stuff man!!
envious8420
Great Work! I love it. How did you make all of the boxes and such? or where can i get some?
mannyclub
Thanks guys! Terry, many tools and such are from those kits avilable. Things I have scratchbuilt are like the lathe, tire machine, mills, drill presses, salamander, buffer, spot welder, air brush compressor, board sander, D/A stuff like that, i should have been more detailed on what items I scratchbuilt. I dont have that dio anymore so im not sure of correct dimensions for that one just guessing i would say: 27" long 18" wide ceiling is about 6" high envious, thanks. I make them with Coral Draw. I do sell them, you can pm me for more info. I havnt put them back on my site yet. Manny
