FASTBACK340
Here's the quickie-build of my Bosses GMC Surburban. e-Bay die cast, HOK pearl orange, gloss black, wheels & tires from a Galaxie `48 Chevy. I had a business card blown up and cropped as a back-drop for the display case at Staples. I'm calling this one done.

unclescott58
Looks good. But, it a panel truck. Not a Suburban. Suburbans came with side windows. Scott
FASTBACK340
Ya 'kno..... I should have caught myself on that, but my boss is always referring to it as the Surburban. My bad! I'm a Mopar guy playing with GM's. Bad stuff happens sometimes. ? Thanks for the compliments guys!
FASTBACK340
I wish the year was right…. I wanted to basically slam it together without getting too "involved" and let me tell you, THAT was a modeling challenge unto itself! There's more wrong with this build (aside from calling it a Surburban…) than right, but for a casual shelf piece to represent our truck is close enough. But I still had to stop myself from drilling holes in the doors for a set of handles from the Galaxie kit. And mirrors. And wipers….and fix the windshield…. I'm being open and honest, it WAS a challenge to stop at the "$10 die cast" level of detail without trying to over do it. But I show a co-worker a picture of it earlier and he was impressed. And he painted the actual vehicle! But stopping just when I was getting started was tough…..
