MCM Ohana (6/6)

  1. Great looking Lambo, Michael! The color really suites it and your photography really shows it off!
  2. Very nice, Tony! That is one good looking Oldsmobile!
  3. Great job, Yoshimi! Not only on this most recent model, but the other two as well!
  4. Very nice, Ken! I really like this one. She looks good in that color!
  5. Marcus, I am not one to blow smoke up someone’s backside, if I don’t like something I will just not comment and move on. IMHO, these look fantastic. I know, as we all do, how small these springs are, even in 1:12. To address something you said in your post, the comment about details holding you back. I know plenty of guys who never finish a model because they get hung up on details or hung up trying to attain the perfect model. Don’t fall in that trap. Do your honest best and move on. No one has built a perfect model yet. Keep up the good work!
  6. I’m really enjoying this one! You are doing some really nice work here.
  7. Thank you, S.K., I appreciate the information! Back in the day, guys would use the old Dymo tape, the stuff used for making old school labels. I had a bunch of it but never liked it. This stuff looks like a good replacement.
  8. You are much too kind, Marcus, thank you! I am not trying to hijack your thread, but I did post a new thread of the finished JPS Lotus, back in 2014. Here is the link: One more thing that may be of help. You can look at my Fotki account, it is BrolinWV. There may be photos there that were not posted here.
  9. This is looking very nice so far! That red interior will look striking against the Racing White. Sorry if this has already been asked elsewhere, but please tell me about the scribing tape. Thank you!
  10. Oh man, Bruce, that is nice! The color really works well on this.
  11. Monty, I have a Swallowtail and I am happy with it. I do not have the fan tip and probably never will. Pardon the pun, but I'm not a fan of the fan tip. My workhorse is an Iwata Eclipse and the Swallowtail is not as refined, IMHO. I have sprayed primer and color on one model with the Swallowtail and I was happy with the results. I used the .5mm needle. I bought it for these features; trigger, removeable paint cups and multiple needle sizes. I am happy with it so far and have no doubt that I will use it to shoot bodies from now on. No grade from me just because it is so subjective. I like the Swallowtail and I would recommend it to anyone. It is not on the same level as my Iwata but not everyone needs or wants an Iwata. It does things, or maybe I should say, it has features that the Iwata does not. For me it is just another tool in the hobby tool kit.

    Paddy Wagon

I have always liked the Paddy Wagon, to me it was a believable design. I’m also a sucker for C-cabs. You’ve done a fine job on this second kit! Thanks for sharing!
  13. That is such a nice looking Nova! To me, it looks like a nice example of what I would have seen in my high school’s parking lot. Great job!
