Irvin Arter Jr.
This saturday after 5 years we will be starting our motor. The frame is now a roller and mostly complete. We are on the 3rd guide coat of primer on the body and hope to paint before the end of the year! I am ready to bang a few gears! Here is the main body in wet 3rd coat of primer this is all good metal, just a very thin coat of bondo to even things out enjoy!
mikemodeler
Looks great and it must be a good feeling knowing you are coming down the home stretch! What color will it end up being? I still kick myself for passing up a numbers matching '70 SS 396 El Camino in 1982 for $1500. Put the money down on a new 4 cylinder S-10 pickup instead cuz gas prices were going up and didn't want one of those gas hogs! Mike
Irvin Arter Jr.
thanks! Looks like it will be 69 Corvette blue with a white SS396 stripe. We made a 69 SS clone out of it. Hopefully later on we can buy a big block for it.

Irvin Arter Jr.
Were at around 18,000.00 so far including the price of the car. We hope to finish under 25,000.00. Thats with us doing all the labor. The little things really add up. If we were to do it over we should have put wheels and tires and just drove it for a few years! We just fired up the motor this past weekend so I should have some video this weekend on you tube to watch! We sanded the complete car this weekend again and laid a few more coats of primer again. So were ready for the final plock sanding before some color.
