Bowtienutz
I picked up the re release of AMT 67 Shelby Mustang. I'd like to paint it the factory color called Candy apple red. OK I know the Factory didn't actually use candy but what would be a reasonable alternative for a non Candy that would match the ford color without breaking the bank at the local paint jobber ? High octane
I would paint that "Pony" Tamiya's Mica Red followed by a coat of Clear Red.
Craig Irwin
Try Dupla-Color, Ford also called that color Rangoon Red, Carnival Red, Fiesta Red, and other names.
Longbox55
Another one that's a match to that color is Minneapolis-Moline red, which can be found at any farm supply store. BTW, Ford Candyapple Red is not a metallic.
