Luberfiner hoses, where do they go

Recommended Posts

Hi Clayton,

I asked the same question a while back and here is the information that I printed out the same as it was given to me.

Luberfiners are bypass oil filters. The inlet hose is connected to a pressure point on the engine (usually on the oil filter mount)

and the return hose is connected to the crankcase ( usually the side of the engine block just above the oil pan rail ) These

connections would be pretty much the same regardless of the engine brand. As for the Luberfiner itself, the center hose is the

return hose and the hose that is off center is the inlet. ( A Luberfiner can be mounted any direction but must be serviceable)

I hope this helps you out, Keith
