Car looks great....I'm new to the hobby and have build a few cars so far...I will post pics...I just was wondering what do you use to put the car together before paint

het thnx , well before i just used the regulair plastic glue , like from revell or humbrol , like the liquid poly glue (watery stuff)

since this saturday i'm working with plaststruct plastiweld , also watery but this glue claimed to glue together all sorts and types of plastics .

so that means i could also glue abs onto styrene etc etc

and i must say is just works .. real bizarre i have like hard plastic sheets that i got out of old window blinds .. its a bit like styrene but harder and i could not glue that with the regulair poly liquid glue , now with plastiweld it just glues togheter and also glues it on all other types of plastics

for instance in the upodate i'm posting in this post you will see 3 metal tubes coated with plastic , those are glued to the engine and eitch other with plastiweld .

oh and also with plastiweld its settled faster and it feels like its glued together stronger , so like a few seconds and i can already apply pressure or sand or file it

tried some copper bushes for end pipes , off course i will bend the plastic so they will come outward a bit , just for seeing how it looks

3 stacks on the engine , these are metal with a plastic dipped coating ( dont know what they are for i scavenged these at work)

together with the scalpt 3-window coupe in the garage .. the garage is finally progressing again , that needs a ton of work and detail still , need t waether teh bricks and make a nice floor (this one is just painted temporary)

then used the top with rounden flat surface , not sure if i have to use these or just the straight tubes , i want to try to file the straight tube in a slash cut

thnx guys

and the bare metal look is explained a xxx amount of posts back

its actually silver aluminium zink spray and in fact there is really a layer of aluminium on the car ..

spray the parts and it will look metallic grey , sand i long enough with fine paper and you will find aluminium stuck on your sandaper :) and the body starts to look more and more like bare metal ...

did the spark plug wires , made out of thin brass wire from old chanpaign bottles fitted them , bended them into shape and painted them red while fitted on the engine
where they go in the engine i still need to pains some black (like the round holes that are now red)

also did some fith on the door from the exhausts

the udercarridge was a problem i could not sand there to get the same effect like on the body it was still clean an silver.
so i washed it and made it look filthy ....
didnt want any rust on the car so i kept it like this
