Mike Kucaba
That double action airbrush from HF looks exactly like my Badger Anthem, which is a very good brush.
Mick5s
I have heard that they are very very similar.
Longbox55
That compressor doesn't look like my Iwata whisper jet and I doubt that it is identical. The Iwata is an oil filled type of pump, and the HF one is oiless. I also don't see anything about the instant on feature the Iwata has when you depress the button to start spraying. I have nothing against looking for inexpensive solutions to acquiring equipment for the shop, but let's compare apples to apples. I'll freely admit, I have never seen the compressor my freind has, I'm only going off what he told me when we were looking at them at HF. However, there very well could be a chance that Iwata outsources their compressors, rather that build their own. That's not really an uncommon practice. jamesG
Yes, you can paint without leaving brush marks flowaid, retarder, reducers, extenders slow dry times and help level the paint. I believe testors makes a kit that allows you to spray bottle paint kind of a poor mans airbrush. Single action airbrush is a step up. Dual action airbrush is the best. Save your money and buy a good airbrush personally I'd pass on horrible freight I haven't bought anything mechanical from them last more than a few days. Check out coastairbrush.com they have everything from air brushes to books to paint including house of kolor, wicked color, and tamiya. Also check out airbrush action magazine they have a micro airbrushing dvd. This issue also has a compressor buyers guide and an article on model car painting basics.
