It's been a while since I've posted, but I had this idea that turned out pretty decent, so I thought I'd share. I've never been a huge fan of the Racer's Wedge - it seemed to always shoot up in the air too high. I have a couple of them, including an original, but I thought, "why not cut it up and bring it down a bit?" I cut the ramp in two, and then altered the box. I'm sure someone else has done it before, but it's my first shot at something like this! Thanks for letting me share.

Spectacular!!! -
Great stance! Much better than the original, especially since it was the wrong year.

Thanks. I've done a rollback with that method with good results. "The Racer's Wedge" actually has dual axles, but the first axle is sized for a pickup bed. It wasn't exacltly in my plans, but I'll make it work!

Has anyone built a truck using Jimmy Flinstone's rollback bed? I just got mine from Model Roundup. The casting is great, but I was hoping it would fit on the Wedge chassis. It's way longer! What could I use? Thanks! John

Great information. Thanks. Yes, I noticed the body style in the kits didn't change much between the '74 and the '78 except for that molding. In some images I found it would be a break for a secondary color. It really doesn't make much sense for a yellow work truck though
