  1. i am talking about painting bodies and tamiya paint always seems to be the best i should have tried it first. but it all just seems to be to thick.
  2. be careful!! u only get one shot at it if its not rite its ruined no way to reverse it and i have tried.

  4. so i am fairly new to the hobby and have only built 15 or so models and was wondering how the hell do u get black paint to look rite? ive tryed several types of black paint and they are all thick as hell and if its sprayed it makes the worst orange peel effect ive ever seen. and if i paint it thick enough to wet sand down it ruins all the detail of the body and fills the body lines. SO HOW THE HECK DO U GUYS DO IT???
  5. ok it sounds a little messy AND IT IS but u can take a sharpie apart and smash all the ink onto a sponge and just wipe it on the clear parts they make plenty of sharpie lke markers with all types of colors and it doesnt matter if the "glass"is shiny or not it will grab rite on just make shure u wipe the whole part in one pass or it will streak. also it has to be a really fine sponge. then clear it. looks sweet and u can tint any color u can find in a sharpie or other perm marker. i suggest practice.
  6. ok i promise no more stangs that look like 4x4,s lol i dont even like lifted cars that much but its good to keep doing things diffrently. i already have many stock mustangs,. and who wants to see a stock mustang again anyway?? i will pose more pics later today. (no more mustang)
  7. well thanks for the input these two cars are the first and only donks i will build. i am working on a sweet mini cooper rite now tho. i will post pics of it tomorrow. also some tamiya 1/16 scale bikes ive ben working on.
