MikeBoyle
Does anyone offer replacement tires for the 19in Aoshima wheels? I just noticed the ones on my Cuda build and two older builds are splitting what I can only assume is dry rot. If at all possible I'd like to find some with a higher profile (taller side wall), but any replacement tire will be better than what I have now. Steven Zimmerman
Pegasus offers tire sets, without wheels ; I don't know how their 'sizes' compare, though.....
dimaxion
I have O l d imported from Japan Inc kits . Every one of these suffer tire deterioration . real rubber breaks down from Ozone exposure over time . Anyone have replacements for a 1/24 Bently Blower . It is near to being on the rims . Thanx .. Guest
I don't know about the Aoshima wheels for certain. But, if you want tires with a taller profile, get a set of the older Good Year Eagles from the older Monogram kits. I know they fit the Pegasus wheels no problem if you cut out the center ring inside. They should work on the Aoshima wheels also. You can find the tires in the Alternomad, Vetagin, Mustang Mach III, '96 Impala SS and a few other kits. Once you know what they look like, they're easy to spot. Another tire that fits is the Good Year Eagles from the Revell '99 Lightning, '98 Corvette, Super Stallion Mustang and Shelby Series One. sbvwfanatic
Hobby Design makes multiple styles (Pirelli, Bridgestone, Yokohama etc.) 19s. Scaleproductions also have a few 19 tires available. And, eightyone81.com has 19 dunlops they just came out with.
