  1. Thanks. I was thinking of that and also trying a cut down straw for the taper. There are also cheap plastic paint brushes that are tapered and might work.
  2. Thanks everyone for all your responses. I will try to guess by tracing a photo of the approximate size. The hard part will be trying to duplicate the taper at the rear corners of the body. It’s too bad the molds were lost a long time ago.
  3. Nice but too expensive for my taste. Thanks, though.
  4. Hi Scott. I’m interested in trying to scratchbuild an Uncertain T body. Do you know where I could find the measurements? Thanks.

      Howdy,

That is an interesting project. Unfortunately, I sold my Uncertain T. When I built a C cab Uncertain C it had a wider roof that the original - even though a friend gave me dimensions from his kit. Go figure. The dimensions are lost to time now.

What I can do is point you in the right direction. Post on the Coffin Corner AKA Showrods message board and ask your question.

I can also share my Fotki build pages of the Uncertain C in case you have not seen it. That will show you the process I used. There is also a picture of the instructions. I can send you any pictures you need (If I still have them) from the Fotki site.

Good luck. I'll look for your post on Showrods.

Thanks for the advice,  Scott.  Any advice on how to do the taper?  I have your Fotki site bookmarked.  Your Uncertain C is a fantastic build.  I might try one like it sometime in the future,  but I'm not up to your modelling skills.  It was great to see you on the M.C. Muse.  That's why this reply is late,  because I had seen the video when it came out and didn't realize you had replied.  I don't get around very well on the computer. lol

      Howdy,

I see you posted on the Coffin Corner. If you do not go the 3D printed route, then scratch building one can be a fun project. Are you talking about the taper at the rear corner. That was made by cutting a V section out of a larger diameter tube. Scratchbuilding is just putting together shapes. If you study your subject, you can start breaking down the shapes.

      Have fun!

      Scott

  5. As Paul mentioned, can anyone that has an Uncertain T body send a sketch with it’s measurements?
  6. Yes, I’m familiar with the thread but there isn’t any plans or measurements. Thanks though!
  7. Does anyone have plans or dimensions to scratchbuild an Uncertain T body?
  8. The Sizzler, the little "T" , the double kits and most of all...my holy grail...The Uncertain T would all be welcomed back with great sales I'm sure! I think you can get a resin kit of the Uncertain T from Australia, but it's pretty expensive. Has anyone built one of those?
  9. My dream kit would be the Uncertain T. However, I think the molds are lost or have been destroyed!??? Does anyone know the real story? How about a new release of the Uncertain T by Revell? (new mold!)
  10. The contest issue is always great! Only one thing could make it better...if it came out every six months!
  11. Thanks a lot for the tips, guys. I will definately try them!
  12. How does everyone clean the micro-mark polishing pads? (2400 - 12000 grits)
