Peterbilt Wrecker. A Classic!

Recommended Posts

Still working on final details but I can say it is finished. I want to thank Terry for helping me acquire this kit and also to Brinx (Mike) for providing me with a new set of decals as the originals were yellowing. And I also want to thank many of you who answered many of the questions I posted regarding this project before I started. There are some flaws but nothing major. I first saw this particular kit when it came out in the late 70s. My best friend at that time built it while I built a Mack DM 600. For my skill level I think I pulled it off acceptably good. It looks better in person, I'm not a good photographer. Enjoy.

I offend wonder how this tow truck worked, then while watching BJ and the Bear where he was run off the road they used a truck like this to recover and tow him away. It was titled something to do with Wild Horses, I found it on YouTube. Great model by the way, someday I hope to build one, but as a cabover.

I searched this episode on You Tube and saw it. Really nice.
