Many got modded with supercharged 3.8's, or 3.4's. One even got a Northstar. Unfortunately the aftermarket companies don't make much for them. I have a '97 I have been driving since '99. Really, never been a fan of the 2.8-3.4 engine family (Dad had a really bad 2.8l powered Pontiac 6000 for a few years too long) but the 3.8's would be a pretty nice looking swap (and factory looking enough to fool somebody if you'r so inclined , but that Northstar powered one must run pretty dang good!
