Fat Rat
Hey guys, I was starting a drag version of the 1967 Shelby by amt. Could someone recommend a chassis that would work well with this kit?
Snake45
I believe that kit already has the best chassis available for any '64-'68 Mustang. But what do you mean by a "drag chassis?" If you want to build something like a gasser, altered, or funnycar, you might want to look at the recently reissued Malco Gasser, or one of the many funnycar kits. Fat Rat
I was thinking of a tubbed type chassis, like a pro street or pro stock.
John Pol
Best thing to do scratchbuild the whole chasic from evergreen #222 solid rod
Fat Rat
Yeah, that's probably the best option. Thanks John and Snake.
LDO
Is it going to be a curbside model, or will it need chassis detail? If it's curbside, you could graft in the back end of a Pro/Street or Pro/Stock car. Heck, you could do that if it will be detailed. That's what a "back half" car is all about. Fat Rat
LDO, it will be detailed. I have a pro-stock thunderbird i picked up as a donor kit. The tubs are too wide to fit in the mustang.
