1320wayne
With my current job over the past 1 1/2 years driving a truck OTR it's been very difficult to get any bench time but the job hasn't stopped me from acquiring new items for future projects. I just received the TDR Shapeways 69 Camaro body and chassis. This stuff is awesome as far as detail and proportion goes. Nothing can compare. The texture is definitely a bit of a challenge but is worth the price of what you get. And the one piece chassis is almost unexplainable regarding it's level of detail. I will be working on this one as much as my homtime allows but it will be a slow process. It will feature a blower motor and a graphic paint job. Please excuse the cloudy pics. as a I took them rather fast with my phone. Edited September 24, 2014 by 1320wayne
futurattraction
That's a great foundation to build from Wayne. I'll look forward to updates! Be careful when you're on the road! If you need any parts, you know where to find me!
tyrone
Way to go Wayne... can't wait to see the updates...
1320wayne
Yeah Tyrone, I was talking to Daryl the other night about the chassis and even though I know that I can create this same look from scratch I had to see just how good these were. It's insane that they can get something this nice from a 3D printer and it's one piece. It will make the cleanup more of a challenge as one piece but it's still worth playing with. Thanks Scott. I do know where to get your great parts from. I have a bunch and one day I just might get to use some of them.

msracing012
Wayne, the chassis that is in the pics is for the 68 Camaro,I know this because i have both of the TDR 68 & 69 Camaro bodys and chassis. The back halfs are different. The 69 Camaro body wont fit the 68 chassis
1320wayne
Wayne, the chassis that is in the pics is for the 68 Camaro,I know this because i have both of the TDR 68 & 69 Camaro bodys and chassis. The back halfs are different. The 69 Camaro body wont fit the 68 chassisIf that's the case then TDR sent me the wrong chassis. I'm not worried about it though because there is not enough of a major difference between a 68 and a 69 to keep me from using this chassis. I think I have enough skills to make whatever adjustments might have to be done to use this one. Thanks for letting me know.
