Going back to basics to regain confidence in being able to complete a model here. It's not an attempt to build a totally accurate car. Just havin' some phun.

I've had this car in my stash since the day it hit the shelves. Probably oughta do sumthin' about that.

I started by flocking the floor pan. I shot black paint on that area, then flocked with Ken's Kustom Fuzzi Fur. After it sat for an hour, I brushed off the excess, then shot a light "setting" coat over that.

There's a lot of details requiring hand paint to do before assembly. I used a Sharpie red paint pen to do the seats, door panels and dashboard.

If I did it right, should be able to see the headlights behind the dry brushed clear covers.

As far as the dash is concerned, I've always thought that the glare off of that shiny chrome would be a problem, so I went with a burnished look.

Lots of decals to do.

More to come.....

Jonathan, start digging. I'm having fun.

Seth, thanx for checking in.

Got a little more done. Except for touch-up, I think I'll call the dash finished. Decals for the Detect-A-Scope and the Compass are basically useless, so I cut up some mylar confetti with my hole punch. Then I mixed up some 5 minute epoxy and put a drop on the compass, a drop on the steering wheel center and a glob (Whoops!!!) on the Detect-A-Scope.

Also worked on rear console with fire extinguisher.

Lastly, trimmed the wheels and lug nuts with clear red.

Thanx for looking.

Thanx Slusher.

Rolling chassis is done and body work has started. Installed the headlights and headlight screens. Can't see the lights unless you shine a flashlight directly at them. To make up for the lack of detail, I put a piece of screen in the nose vents.

One minor detail I forgot to mention earlier was the use of a piece of coiled wire to replace the kit provided Batphone line.

The rocket launcher tubes looked out of scale on the pipe thickness, so I drilled them out and painted the tips red.

Next on the agenda is doing the trim on the windshields. That'll be fun times I'm certain.

After that, only a dozen parts to put on and done.

Thanks for looking.
