It was based on the original AMT '68 Shelby tooling and still had two recessed areas for the separate clear-red tail lights. I was going to suggest this piece to another member as an upgrade for the kit he's refurbishing, but I don't see it listed in their online catalog. They do, however, still list the tail lights. A number of the clickable links (Parts etc) don't work, but there's a helpful little scrawl message that tells you the site was last updated in 2012. Updated from what? Telepathy? I don't have anything against these guys personally, but this is the internet age. Seeing & buying products from a seller's site is how it works. Not to belabor this, but it could be that there are more people in my position than you think, i.e. if a new member were to ask me about Missing Link, I'd tell him that I'd heard it's part of a friendly consortium of casters with a great reputation for quality product, but I wouldn't be able to give him any particular person's name if he wanted to follow up. It's not that you're hard to get along with, it's just that you're more well known among those who seek out the resin guys for specialty items, and it's entirely possible that that's only a small fraction of the total number of builders. That said, I still wish there was a way that Missing Link could have a 100% fully functional website. You can't watch 10 minutes of TV these days without seeing commercials for affordable do-it-yourself websites. I'd love to be able to go to one spot to see everything you guys offer, contact you with questions* and purchase whatever caught my fancy. The people targeted are the Best in the Business IMHO . You won't understand how a Small Business works , Resin Casting works , nor how managing a Website works until you do IT . I rather Kevin , the Holthauses , Norm Veeber and a few others continue on with what they continue to do . Time spent on making product and GETTING Sleep and Family Time is just as important than working . I missed my Children growing up being an OTR Driver . I regret this and do not want anyone else to do the same . BYW Kevin , you have one interested party in your products keeping up to date with you sir . Kevin , Don & Carol , Norm , Dave Dodge , Ed Fluck III , and every Caster I've contacted did respond . Even in the days of sending a SSAE for information .. Therefore having to call or email to ask if someone makes/sells something isn't going to happen for me because I don't know I need or want that part. I doubt if I am the only one like that. I am just a casual modeler and don't keep track of who sells what. That is what my favorites button is for. I understand about illness, and I am not complaining about that issue. It's just that this thread along with several others have gotten me to want to comment in general about businesses and websites. And yes, if you are selling a product, even if it is just part time, it is a business. But in today's world having a functioning website with a full catalog and pricing at least to me is a requirement, not an option. If you (generic) don't want a website because you think you will get too many orders, I can assure you that I won't be bothering you with an order. I literally just a half hour ago ordered something from a link that was posted here in another thread. I won't order something if I have to call or email or pm someone just to find out how much, if they even sell it. I'd be willing to send a sase to get a list with prices before I would do that. I don't buy stuff without knowing the asking price upfront before even talking to someone about it. Don't want to waste anyone's time if the price is out of my budget. Speaking of budget, this is a hobby and I can't really plan a budget for it. So today I might have the money, but by the time someone gets back to me with price and availability a lot of the time my little bit of extra money has been spent elsewhere. Like what I bought earlier online. If I had to wait until Friday, something may have come up and I'd have to wait another week or even longer. Granted what I bought tonight was very inexpensive, but usually I end up having to pass on something if I have to delay the purchase. Being broke and unemployed doesn't lend itself to lots of extra buying. I'm going through this with my wife, who is a crafter and wants to sell stuff but is complaining no one wants to buy from her. She needs a website, not just posting on Facebook or Etsy or other such. But that probably isn't going to happen for her, so she won't be selling much. So she has gotten herself too depressed and now won't even craft. She expected to be able to treat this as a hobby but make lots of money doing it. Wrong. Just my opinion.
