cruz Posted February 3, 2010 Share Posted February 3, 2010 I personally use them wet, they last longer without the need to clean them. They do have a shelf life after several uses so it might be time to replace them. Word of advice, when you do get your new ones, take it very easy when starting to use them, they really eat up a lot of paint when new, specially the workhorse 3200 grit! As suggested, wet sanding will help them live a longer life, as will a drop of two of dish soap when you are wet sanding/polishing the paint. John E. Bowers Jr. Posted February 5, 2010 Share Posted February 5, 2010 Very good tips, guys! I keep mine soaking in clean soapy water overnight after each use. Rinse, let it dry, use again. wilderness1989 Posted June 11, 2013 Share Posted June 11, 2013 I put mine in a "bra bag" (yeah they make 'em check eBay) then put them in the washing machine of a gentle cycle using liquid Ivory Soap.
