  1. Absolutely beautiful! Nailed the stance and it looks ready for the autocross! Steve
  2. Thanks John. I modified the wheels from the Revell 2009 Challenger kit to fit inside Pegasus aluminum 19 rims up front and 22s out back. Steve
  3. Sweet! I love that paint choice and the rims suit it perfectly Steve
  4. I don't know, what's under the hood?

I love that color combo! Very clean building style and well thought out project. Thanks for sharing. Steve
  6. Thanks Rob, that's what I was going for here. I think this little car would do great in Autocross. Tom that looks very effective, I'll have to re think the way I do these in the future. How did you make the leaves? They look very real. Steve
  7. The washer fluid bottle is clear plastic, I just painted the bottom of it with some turquoise craft paint. Thanks Kevin. Those are some good tips, thanks, I never really thought too much about it but yea it wouldn't be made out of glass.
  8. I'm not too worried, they do have some points. While I don't agree that the panel lines are too dark, I do agree that they are too big. But what can we do at this scale. Thanks Andy, I painted it with Rustolium "Gold Rush Metallic". Thanks James. The washer fluid bottle came with the kit. I did have to trim down the chassis plate a bit in the back and move the front inner fenders up some but I did not make any tubs.
  9. Thanks everyone, I'm glad you like it. I just knew someone would break my balls about the dark panel lines. I have to disagree Harry. In my second and third photos look at the panel lines for the hood. They look just as dark as the lines for the doors except that they are not lines at all, they are the natural look of actual panel gaps. It might even look out of place if the other lines were not as dark as the ones for the hood. But thanks for commenting on my model...
  10. Hello all, here is my latest build, mostly out of the box, just lowered quite a bit and gave it some Pegasus aluminum sleeves with the rims from the 09 Challenger. Engine is stock but I added the air cleaner from the Challenger as well. Let me know what you think. Steve Update: the air cleaner is actually from the Revell 70 Challenger kit, my bad.
  11. Hey thanks everyone for all of the great feedback, it makes this hobby even more rewarding. Steve
  12. Hello everyone, I thought I would share my latest creation. This is a 09 Chevy Silverado just about laying frame. Only a curbside, no engine or chassis detail. This started out as a John Deer toy found in the local farm supply store. Modified quite a bit as the toy did not have much for detail. It's about 1/16 scale I guess, not sure exactly. Modifications: Body sectioned out from a crew cab to a "club cab I guess". Bed mostly removed, crued "raised" engine compartment removed. Steering through the steering wheel retained. Headlight sections extended back, bumper extended rearward. Scratch built items: Wheels Headlight buckets and glass Taillight buckets and glass Tow hooks Bed cover Mirrors (3) Wipers Satellite antenna Tires are modified RC car items Krylon paint, clear, rubbed out and waxed Grill, headlight/taillight buckets, mirrors painted with Alclad, my first time using and I'm pretty satisfied with it. Let me know what you all think of it..
  13. Hi Andy, I'm from Wolbach, just north of GI. I saw your 49 Merc and 50 Chevy truck at the contest today, awesome paint jobs on both, highly impressive detailing as well. Good luck in the contest. Steve
  14. That thing is just intense, nice work!
