NorthWest29
I would like to hear from folks that have cast wheels and sent them, perhaps, to Chrome Tech for plating. What success' and problems have you encountered? I'm thinking about casting some Cragar S/S wheels.
455 Rocket
I've used them several times and have no complaints. Just make sure your parts are clean and totally smooth before you send them. Any flaws will be seen. Here's some photos of some wheels I had plated about 10 years ago. The wheels were by Scale Resin Detailers.
Modelmartin
I soak the resin parts in prep-sol for a bit and mount them up. I always precoat my parts before sending them to the plater. It really helps. JUst lay on a nice glossy coat of clear enamel or lacquer.
Randy
Andy What do you use for a top/clear coat for plating?
