I just ordered one a Squadron for the $56.24 and when I added it to the cart it took another 20%off, Now $44.99 + $9.95 shipping ... $54.99 shipped :)

They also have the MK Hudson in Clearance for $14.95.

Darn good price

One other nitpicky little thing. The vents in the fender emblems are a dark red on the diesel trucks. Other than that, it looks good. I need to get one of these and do a shortbed conversion to match my 1:1.

Yep, builder mistake, or builder being lazy, or both

I'm not a fan of modern Ford trucks. But, with all the buzz on this kit I had to look and see how yours turned out. I'm impressed! Looks like you did a good job Mr. Stephens. At the same time, between the subject and the price I will be definitely passing on this one. Modern Ford trucks are just too much for me. I think it's ridiculous that you need a step and a handle to get into the box. Trucks were for hauling things. Try loading this truck from the sides. Good luck! But that just me. I still think you did a nice job on the model.

P.S. This has nothing to do with Mr. Stephens beautiful truck. But, why does Mr. Hamilton, above have to keep on showing us his '60 Bonneville with every posting? We understand your proud of it. But, give it a rest! It has nothing to do with other's models we're here to look at.

Scott,

Since you are commenting about my '60 Bonneville, It is a model of the car my late Father had from 1960-1962, and I an quite proud of the model. Unfortunately for you, until I am able to clear the problem up with my computer, I cannot post without the siganture, so you can either get used to seeing the red Bonneville, or don't read my posts or comments. Your choice.

1- You don't need the step and handle to get into the box. You can step onto the bumper and pull yourself up by grabbing the bed rail, just like you would in a pickup that doesn't have a step and handle. Trust me, I spent most of the day yesterday crawling in and out of a 1:1 similar to this one, and didn't once use the step and handle. Neither did the truck's owner, and he has a bad hip.

2- Why would you load the bed from the sides, when it has this neat thing on the back called a tailgate? Again- the one on the 1:1 example I was working with all day had one, and it was fully functional AND much easier than lugging things over the sides. Lift-over height was about a whopping three-and-a-half feet with the gate down. I'd rather lift something that high than up and over chin height, like I'd have been doing if I'd been loading the bed from the sides.

3- If you don't follow the logic of 1 and 2, know that trucks are built to tow as well as haul, so you can throw whatever you want into a trailer, which a 1:1 example of a pickup like this would have no trouble pulling.

For the wrong exhaust and wrong engine designation, the should give it away!

Going by your logic, Moebius should give away some of their kits?, same with Revell too?, and any other company that gets things wrong?

Or is this because Chinese?

Here it is , before I get on to the pics, let me give a real quick review of the kit of what I en-courted , up first, parts fitment is great, for instance, the side view mirrors and the spare tire are not glued in place, the detail is decent, I would say its about the same as a Tamiya kit, everything tell you get to the putting the interior in the cab do you not run into any real problems, the issue is the one piece side windows pieces, there is just to much excess around the window, and that interferes with door panel pieces, to get the proper fitment, you need to trim the bottom part of the window piece, just basically get rid of the lower excess plastic, and even then fit issues are still going to be there, so that is why I cut the piece in half , and just put the rear door pieces in . The taillights also do not fit flush, the only way they will is if you leave the chrome backing off. Also, the tires just flat plain suck, they will not stay on the wheels, any slight movement, and a part of the tire will come off the wheels. Overall, its still a very nice kit.

Don't mention this to Francis with those flaws, He may never find Another Model to build again.
