Jantrix
I think we'll all agree the 80's was a "unique" time period in hot rodding. Monochromatic, pastel paint colors, flashy graphics, billet started to show up and pro-street was the word of the day. Show us what you built from that era! Ramfins59
While I was not building models in the 80's (I didn't rediscover the hobby until 1991) I never was into the"billet" look... I've got more of a traditional Rod & Custom taste. I did however venture once into the Pro Street thing as evidenced by my '58 Chevy Pro Street Sedan Delivery model as follows...... S. Svendsen
I loved the '80's. I was also guilty of using all the '80's trends back then. Pastel colors, splash graphics, mono-chromatic paint, pro-street... I did'em all.

realgone58
Wow, those '80's builds are totally awesome. I don't have any. I did build some back then, but I've sold them off over the years in favor of the replica stock stuff and traditional hot rods. I do remember buying an extra JoHan X-EL reissue '56 Plymouth sedan, dechroming it, painted everything gloss black, plopped some fat tires under the back, and put some bright pink/green squiggly line decals on it. Talk about sick! I couldn't imagine doing that to one of those now!
Scott Colmer
I had a couple of those. I really like that decade. Sean - I also seem to remember you also did a tasty, tan sedan delivery.
