Made some progress on the Fox Saleen.

Got some tips from my Uncle, a retired Pattern Maker for GM.

Work has picked up and I havent had a lot of time to work on it.

Im going to make an effort to finish the body this week.

I've been sidetracked from my Fox body builds for a while as I concentrated on getting some period diaramas and vintage/antique autos built to display in my small model car museum.

Now I have the bulk of them done...and can find some time to get back to my favourite car....... I recently purchased the Revell Monogram '85 SVO and will get started on it soon.

But before I delve into it, I need some advice. Particularly, how accurate is this model as it comes in the box, and what changes and/or additions should I make to make it as accurate as possible?

I've already done the required Google search and got most information re: colors, interiors, etc.(all the obvious stuff)..... but I'm sure there's a lot more that I can't find details about on the net.

So Brad and all you other experts on the subject... please help me out. (We're up to 42 pages of posts on this thread and my mind boggles at the idea of going back and re-reading them all to see if anyone has previously provided this information!):unsure::(

Thanks in advance.

By the way, I'm definitely impressed with some of the builds that have been added to this thread since I've been away!

Its been years since I built that SVO, so I cant help with the details, but I do remember it being a nice model and pretty accurate.

I do recall the original issue body being molded in red, and being tough to paint a light color.

My busy Summer is almost over, I need to dust off the Fox Saleen and get back to work on it.

I've been meaning to do a fox for some time now , I want to build a replica of a mustang i own

unfortunatly it's sitting in the shed gathering dust at the moment ( and has been for about 7 years )

I got the wild breed kit to base it on as it seems the closest body to mine .

That one beautiful looking Fox Simon....... and I expect it's a rare machine in the UK.

I also have a couple of Foxes gathering dust.... an '85 GT with T-Tops, automatic and air cond.....and an '86 GT with T-Tops, stick and air conditioning. Although I'm not driving them (they both need some mild restoration), they're both tucked away safely in my garage. It's like having a couple of full size model kits in a large display case!

Haven't been on in quite awhile so I will have to get back in the saddle and finish some of my own projects. Love that the lx coupe should be out springtime,I will definitely be buying a case of them for various builds. I'm gonna go back thru the pages to look at some of ya'lls work...Ridgley
