Kodiak Island Modeler
I grew up in Iowa, and I remember seeing many old farm trucks that looked like they'd just escaped from a junk yard. What I have here is a 37 Chevy pickup as would be found in the late fifties to early sixties. This one shows many years of driving on gravel roads and use on the farm. Since my original intent was to show it in action, I've also included a driver.

Jon Cole
1937 Chevy Pickup: Perhaps you meant to say 1947? No matter, it looks great! Edited September 8, 2010 by Jon Cole
von Zipper
That looks good, nice job on the weathering, BUT your truck depicts a 1941-1946, the 1937 Chevy pick up looks very different-like a '37 Chevy car.

AH! That's why I couldn't place this! I wasn't thinking about the '41 at all! Charlie Larkin
Jon Cole
I got it wrong too! It's a '41...
Kodiak Island Modeler
Good catch on the year, and thanks for the correction. I'm working on a 37 Ford panel right now, and had that going through my brain. Yes it is the 41 Chevy. I built this several years ago, and the dirt is actually crushed stone from Iowa's gravel roads. I appreciate all the kind comments.
