zaina
I needed something to pull the D8 so I decided to pull this out Of the stash. I added 2" to the frame and am planning somewhat of a custom. Here is the inspiration and the build. Edited April 4, 2015 by zaina
Petetrucker07
That is an awesome inspiration truck. Are you gonna lower the truck? Need any pointers? Let me know.

zaina
Thinkin about doing this to the front fenders for a custom look. What do you guys think? Also made up some rear fenders from some pill bottles.
Petetrucker07
That looks way cool. If want to lower the front a little, just cut the axle blocks off. Then shave the the air bags a little on the front drive axle, just enough to get the rear wheels back on the ground. Or you can look at my KW. I slammed it by cuttin the springs off, flipped them over like a de-arched spring then cut the air bags.

#1Volsfan
Looking good! Really like what you have done with the fenders. Have you given any thought about extending the hood Andy? Anyway you have my attention and I can't wait to see the finished product.
zaina
Thanks for the comments guys. I won't be extending the hood even though I know it would look better. If I did I would never finish it. I did however decide to lower it. I ended up dropping it a strong 1/8". Looks much better now. I also started smoothing out the roof...no clearance lights or horns. gatorincebu
I like the model building skills you are using here. And while this kind of custom/show truck is not my thing, I can still appreciate them. As for hauling a dozer with it. Good luck when you have to deliver it a few miles off the paved road!! Be Well Gator

I want to put red and white reflective tape down the side...does anyone know where to get some?

Petetrucker07
Awesome. Your probably gonna get 2 rolls. I've done 4 trailers and still on the 1st roll. Great start on the unit here. I like the wood. That will look awesome once you get it stained.
