It's a Jeep thing, you wouldn't understand....

Thought I had to start a topic with that title. Anyway, here goes another review model which I don't think I ever shared here but I think it's safe to do now. Paint is Testor's Lacquer Fiery Orange. Don't like to use these metallic lacquer's much because I think the metallics are way out of scale so what I did was, after shooting the color and making sure it was dry, I shot a few coats of Testor's Dull Coat to kinda difuse the metallics a bit and tone them down. After this I finished up with Testor's Wet Look Clear. As many of you know, this is a curbside kit but it does look quite good after completion. What do you fellow glue sniffers think? :P

Very nice Cruz! That does seem to be the 'IT ' color on that kit! I was planning on doing mine the same until I saw a few already. So I decide on lime green and I go to my club meeting and there's a lime one sitting on the table! So I'm still thinking about color.

A question. I really don't like the diamond plate on the back, is that standard for this model Jeep? And has anyone sanded it clean without affecting the other molded in details?

Tom sanding the plate off could be done but it would be a lot of work. The rear gate hinges, and taillight mounting boxes are a molded in detail that the plating buts right up to. Again it could be done but the sanding process would take longer.
