Speccast 1960 GMC

Nick W.

Recommended Posts

I have some photos of mine when it was unpacked. I did not scale it but it looked like 1/25 scale. SpecCast sold it as 1/25 and from my experience with SpecCast they normally run correct.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Nick, you case use any measurement that you can find on the real truck. The wheel base is probably the easiest to find but overall length should be on-line. You can multiply the 7 in by 25 (1/25 scale) and get 175 inches. If the truck is true to 1/25 scale it should match the real trucks overall dimension for that year. You can do the same with the wheel base measured from center to center of the wheels.

Hope that helps.

Nick, I too have one of these SpecCast '60 GMCs. And it looks a little small to me. I've not done any measurements on mine. Or put it up against other 1/25 scale Chevys. But just looking at it, it looks small. Still I like mine. Mine is a GMC Parts and Service truck.

Nick, please let us see your conversion to the stepside when you get it done. Heck, I'd like to see pictures of it as you do the conversion.

Scott
