Trying My Hand At This...

I had to try what I could do with these Picture-editing programs... And wow they are even harder to use than I thought! After a lot of swearing and many times of doing the same thing, I ended up from this:

To This:

It is not perfect, and actually far away from it. But the first time I tried using that program. The Impala is Chopped, I removed the inner Headlights and Hood Lettering.

I will post more if I manage to make them.

Keep at it Niko, you can see what I did to a 67 Galaxy on post#46 of the What If thread, I did that with Paintshop Pro x ver.4

Once you get used to working with layers it gets kind of fun. Layers let you try out a change that lets you just kill the layer if you don't like what you just tried. I was using about 5 layers on the 67 galaxy before I was satisfied with it and merged all visible layers.

Thanks Mike, your picture was one of the pics that inspired me to try my hand at this... After two Failed Tries ('60 Impala Gasser and '49 Ford Custom), I managed to do something I'm satisfied with. '48 Cadillac Sedanette, the first picture is the starting point, and second shows the Chop Top and Lowered Cadillac. Far from perfect, but I'm learning... ;)

I see you chopped the roof on that Catalina next to it also. :)

Looks good, would make for an interesting chop.

Some practice with a "cloning" tool will help when fixing areas that have been changed but no longer look correct ( the pavement).

Yes, I did a "Mass Chop" !

You are correct about the Cloning Tool. Slowly but surely, I'm trying... :D

Here's one very fast and simple car, basically my goal was to try if I can make the textes look "Painted On". Well at the same time I decided to make a Scoop and chop the top a little. Side Trim was removed too and the name comes from the movie Deuce Coupe, where a guy owns '55 Chevy with little Black Magic textes on it.

And here's another one. How had Chevy Corvair looked if I had a chance to make a Prototype. A new Roof from '59 Impala, extra Side Trim, conversion to Two Door, and little rear wings are the little things I did for this. I like the Two Tone paint idea on it too.

I'm not sure about the Corvair name, but I think it really looks better like that than it did from the factory (Even if it was very nice car!). :D At first, I tried Bubbletop from '62 Bel Air, but I didn't like the look of it, so I thought '59 Chevy top would look better - and it did.

Well since I was bored waiting my paint to dry, I tried to make AMC Javelin Wagon. Well not the best, and I don't know if I like the design or not.... But the top is from '66 Chevelle Wagon.

Another What If type of concept... 2015 Pontiac Firebird DragPack. So I simply took new Copo Camaro and '68 Firebird nose. A little modifications for the grille area, and I ended up as this. The grille doesn't fit perfect, but after three more (Worse) tries, I decided to keep this one.

And last I took my picture and started Smokin' & Burnin' .

After a little break, I decided to try if I still can do this...

I found nice side picture of '62 Bel Air and then I decided to make a Concept with '60 Impala rear end on '62 Chevy Body. Far away from the quality that some of you guys do, but I think it came out decent. The bodies look so different, that it wasn't an easy task to get it look like this.

I couldn't do that for '60 or '62 Chevy  !

Thanks for the kind words.

Here's another one I just created. A '58 Caddy Concept. I have always thought that '58 Cadillac could look better. Well I'm not sure if this would be the best concept, but at least I like it more than the original '58 Cadillac. The Front Bumber and rear end are from '58 Pontiac.
