Does anyone know if a show or contest around the north Georgia or chattanooga area?

Hey I'm new to this site and still kinda new to building models. I've built several before but I want to step my game up. I want to make my cars have a show room finish but I don't know where to start. I need any tips and tricks on what to do, how to mix paint properly, what to use, ratio, anything to help me improve. Anything is appreciated. Thank you.
