Gregg
Actually, it's moving TO the mainland (again) :-) Had a place set up in Salem, two doors down from Jairus, but yesterday that fell through. So, plans are a little off target right now, but it will happen, hopefully by September 1 or October 1.
KT EASTMAN
Bummer it fell through!!! Well, I guess you could always just move in with Jairus!!! Its probley his fault the deal did not go through!!! Just kidding Jairus!!! LOL!!!! Well I hope you can find somewhere else soon!!! Have you put any thought to Colorado?? You could hang out with us and be closer to the publisher!!! KT
Gregg
Was just there, Denver and CO Springs July 14 Daughter had another baby friday morning, second grandchild. There is some land in CO Springs/South Park I am trying to get from a friend, will probably build a getaway there. Colorado is awesome, but it's getting so crowded and polluted. and the drivers. and that's where I got hit, so driving there was kind of uneasy to say the least. KT EASTMAN
I know what you mean about the crowds and pollution Gregg!! We moved here in 1976 and it has grown at least 5 times the size!!! It seems that everywhere you go around the edge of the city there is a new development!! Currently there is this huge Eastward Ho and everyones moving east of Colorado Springs to smaller towns like Falcon and Calhan. Falcon is like its own little city now and it is growing daily!!! FASTBACK340
Move to New York and join the TNMCC. We'd let you in! I'd love to see Gregg move stateside, but NY? He lived in HAWAII and you want to see him come to NY? That's kinda like trading in your Harley for a mountain bike....
Daniel Peterson
He could move to Pennsylvania. The July/August humidity would squash any homesickness for the islands...
lordairgtar
Gregg could move to Wisconsin. We have a great model club (AMG), and the houses are cheap compared to Salem or Colorado. Plus it's been so humid here, that palm trees will prolly take root and survive. BTW, what is the furthest east and furthest north you would see palm trees. Mabe you could just build a little Tiki hut in Jairus's backyard!!! I bet the rent will be cheap!! Seriously, any new plans Gregg??
Gregg
Just trying to pack up and see how much stuff I have to move. Man, we acumalate a lot of stuff over the years, yeah? Boy, if I only knew someone who worked for a moving company :-) LOL
KT EASTMAN
I would be more than happy to take your model collection off your hands!! LOL!!! I moved to my current location about 3 years ago now. I went from a 2 bedroom one story condo to a 4 bedroom two story house with a full basement and managed to stuff it full!! I still have unopened boxes stuffed in the closets!!! I am still amazed that I had that much stuff in the condo!!! The good thing is that I now have one room just for my models and nothing else!!! How does one move across an ocean?? Boat, Plane??? Either way, it cannot be cheap!!
Gregg
Boat is only way to do it, unless you're a Rockafeller or something like that. Going to be fun. Hopefully, I'll be able to get everything out of boxes for once and be able to at least look at them all, not have them stuffed away in a storage facility for years! KT EASTMAN
Its been a little while Gregg, so whats the scoop??? Did you find a place yet??? Let us know!!! KT
Gregg
Well, some change in plans, if you have seen the post last week. I am in Salem right now, staying with Jairus We will be busting okole, trying to get ready for a huge road trip that will take about six weeks. We have a booth for the Chicago iHobby Expo, and hope to have a great time there. Watch for more cool stuff from the show coming soon. This show and year will be the turning point for MCM. Hawaii is my home, and all that I have known for the past forty plus years. I thought I could leave, mainly because we (the poor local folk) have been pushed out of the housing market by all those "others." My dream or goal is to be in both places: Hawaii and the mainland. Hopefully it will work out. But hope is just a dream that is not pursued, right? I will be on the mainland from now till November 27. We (Jairus and I) have a lot of shows, and work to do. Then, it's back home for the winter (think I can handle the cold, yeah, right..... cold is when it gets below 70 for me.......)
