I had not seen the kit there before (I was in the store the Saturday before the sale) so I asked the department manager about it and he said they get odds and ends stuff for the sale and that our store should be seeing more different models come in in the next few months. Apparently a new manager (different from the guy I talked to) is a military modeler so what just back in august was only 20ft of models (including paint and accessories) has boomed into 48 ft of model kits, paint and tools. The manager said if sales keep up they will continue to get more and will rotate kits on a faster basis. Perhaps Hobby Lobby in some locations is realizing the hobby market is there we just don't have a place to buy stuff. I still have been buying a few . The Olds I always wanted and it was a nice deal. And these sweet resins are from Jeff at Motor City Resin. I have also gotten an Academy FFG-7 w/ P/E and resin, a Hasegawa Egg Plane, a Revell P-51 Mustang, a Tamiya Lotus Type 79 w/ P/E, a Tamiya McLaren MP4/7 plus a bunch of Evergreen and other supplies. All parts off of trees and Bagged tightly than all taped together in lil bags and bagged in bigger bag. At $5 each, they did look complete from what I could tell, so far. a/gass Posted April 3, 2011 Share Posted April 3, 2011 just got back home went acopple LHS got MK 70 bonnivill & strip foul mpc 74 charger another amt 37 chevy & gmc astro copple cans of paint a dm dist fred caddy decals anderson pontiac & lil george shaker but still no 72 blazer?cant find this 1 noware unless i speend 50.00 + for it.also not very happy with the strip foul.thought it would have gasser goodies in it WRONG!think ill trad it back in well time to paint? I wound up with a nice build up unpainted original issue Hubley Rolls Royce. It's the same as the Minicraft kit but the molds haven't gone to pot yet. It will be converted into a street machine Bentley that I see around here. I also grabbed the Premier 1960 Rambler which I believe was 1/32nd scale. This is a built up but will be made into slot car. I got a 64 Thunderbolt sealed kit I traded someone for with a built up Cobra in original box. I also picked up the 1960 Ford Sunliner convertible resin body for free.
