MCM Ohana

MCM Ohana (6/6)

  1. I kind of think it's how the car lived. I had a Gremlin with 3 spd manual and a 6 banger, a 76 Hornet X V8 hatchback, a 78 Concord two door 6 cylinder with auto trans, 78 Concord wagon six with automatic. All were dead nutz reliable cars. These were all based on the same platform.
  2. Very nice build. I have some of those Pyro/Lifelike kits. I bought them solely for the subject matter and box art. I may rethink my idea and build them.
  3. How do those Skylark kits rate for accuracy. I know the old Perry's bodies were off a bit. I really like Too Many Projects Skylark. Very very close to accurate.
  4. Did anyone ever make a quad headlight grille version for this kit? That would probably require a different hood as well.
  5. Where did you source your gauges from?
  6. Try sourcing engine from a Corvair. Nice one in a parts pack kit from AMT (I think). A 3D print VW or Porsche engine would be a good choice, better than a kit engine.
  7. My L700 Truck and trailer arrived with the Coke themed decals
  8. Ollies can be hit or miss when it comes to selections. As far as missing wheels go and it being a sealed kit...Ollies puts there price tag on the kit after taking the manufacturer's wrapping off, and then reseals the kit. They could have lost the tires in that manner. The reason Ollies does this is because a lot of people buy the kits and resell on eBay or other places after removing a price tag from a discount house. Now the only way to remove Ollies tag is to remove the wrap and thereby losing the sealed kit advantage in price. A reseal also might have the seal seam in an odd place like across the front of the box. The manufacturer would never do that.
  9. Step daughter got me the Coca Cola GMC General truck and Coca Cola Fruehauf trailer kits.
  10. Man I thought I'd be getting cheap bodies but those other ones you posted are expensive. The "M" is the only one at $5.00. But I did order that one.
  11. With the recent re do of the GTOs, the 64 Cutlass, and the Chevy II, and the Chevelle, perhaps the 66 Skylark could be redone. I like Buicks and would love an accurate 66 Wildcat. I'd be game for a corrected Fury as well.
  12. Side cove trim on this kit is not quite right in my eyes.
  13. Only one car kit but this does have two variations for color graphics. I really wish they would do a standard Charger Turismo/Duster Turismo. The headlight area would need to be retooled to a quad set up as well as the hood shape. I would think that could be done without ruining more issues of the Shelby.
