  1. I always thought that version looked like a new vette with the roof of an 80s model race vette then got rear ended by an old cadillac then the force from the rear end hit drove it straight up the a$$ of a jet. But the whole redesign thing sounds fun to me.
  2. Check out my 87 thunder bird turbo coupe in the workbench section. I made a fully working suspension on that one The driveshaft u joints even move. You can see more of it at Briansmodelcars.com in the wip section.
  3. BA DA BA BA BA IM LOVIN IT !!!!!
  4. Just a side note to let you know the turbine wheels were used up until 94 when the body changed. The 93 anniversary cars even had the turbines. Steering wheels changed with car options such as cruise lx,gt,cobra, 4cyl, 6cyl. There are lots of determining factors for differnt changes in the car.
  5. We have a new site going called Custom Model Cars. It has a chat room so you can talk with other modeler's 1on1 without the delay. Get questions answered fast. Come check it out its brand new and growing fast. http://www.custommodelcar.tk/ thats the url. There is also a forum that you can post whatever you like.
  6. But for an update heres some pics. I got the turbos made. Scratch built a trunk compartment out of a mini blind. Also built a sub box with mini blind.
  7. Easy I have had a couple of the mustangii's. And theres not that much in common with a pinto they are actually very good cars. Theres just not much aftermarket you gotta make parts youself. But that doesnt stop people like us.
  8. Man I dont even want to discuss a-pillars. I actually did brace them after I broke one lol. And the door hinges I had just sagged to much I am think of doing a four piece door hinge this time. Or possibly lambo doors, i'm undecided. But i appreciate comments ecspeacially from you. With all the great work you have done.
  9. I have plans for it in a mustangII model ive got. But i to have owned a couple of the 2.3turbo cars one 87 thunderbird and i think the other was a 85' mustang I love the little motor with a 5 speed behind it.
  10. Well heres the newest. I have decided to Move away from the doors for a minute as they are driving me crazy. But still got alot done. I have made working suspension front and rear. I got my interior painted. I got the chassi painted an detailed with a flat black over silver wash. I got the engine wired. Stole headers from a chevey and modified to fit the 427. I got the inter cooler painted. Also got the stereo parts for the trunk. I made the suspension work by cutting everthing loose at the pivot point even the ujoints on the drive shaft. Then i heated straight pins and inserted through the joints were they moved and twisted until the plastic reset from the heat. The springs are from ink pens (wifes not to happy about that) then cut to length with side cutters. well heres the pics.
  11. I use speaker wire strip it and take out one strand at a time. Its copper so the color is already good. Ita bends easily and holds well with glue. I also use cross stich thread as spark plug wires cross stith thread is multi strand so you remove one strand at a time to make plug wires. You can also make braided stainless hoses out of it by useing a few strands together and painting with silver paint.
  12. What are you doing here quit following me. LOL
  13. I think those wheels come from a IMSA Kemp Cobra kit i had. Very good set of wheels and tires look real.
  14. Heres my latest creation. Still working on exhaust.
