Jonathan
Here's one I built some time ago. It's been living in my display case (an old baker's display unit). Not everyone's cup o' tea, I know. But, I thought I'd share: Looks like I might have forgotten to add the headlights! Oops! I should do the trim around the windows, too. Skydime
Looks good even without the lights. Good thing you left off the decals because it is really a Hugger. I'd love to see Round 2 re-release this with either the 98 up interior and front end or correctly label the box as a "Hugger concept" instead of an Xtreme. Austin T
Looks nice. I need to find one of these kit's so I can build my S-10.
Jonathan
@Ken - Wow, learn something new every day! What's a "Hugger"? Oh, and nice looking S-10 there. My Dad had a 1990(?) S-10 4.3 that he sold with well over 200,000 miles on it about 10 years ago. The man that bought it is still driving it, and has passed 300,000. As far as I know, no major work has been done to it, yet. @ Austin - If you're thinking of building this kit, it actually assembles pretty well! JamesW
Actually, the Xtreme concept started in 1997. This one is a 97 and badged as an Xtreme. Coincidentally it is also the very first crew cab dually S-10 created (by GM anyway). Rolled out of the Warren, MI plant in June of 1997. It was originally slated for the Brazilian market, but never made it that far. It is still just a concept. Skydime
Yeah, the Hugger was the concept that developed into the Xtreme dually concept and finally made it into production as an Xtreme appearance package to accompany the ZQ8 suspension in 98. Like I said, despite the fact that Round 2 seems to be mainly focusing on the 60s and 70s, they could slightly mold this tool and make two complete kits. And just look how many 90's Silverado based kits they could re-release or reconfigure. Edited November 19, 2013 by Skydime
