Darren B
I decided it was time to get on the designs for the interior and started to do some drawings, then drew them on the door panels, floor, and back of cab. Its hard to make out in the photos (will be easier to see after primer) the designs are actually being carved into the foam. On one of the photos you can see on the floorboard some shadows from the carving but once im all done, all the black lines will be carved in the foam. David G.
Looks great, but I wouldn't want to take a road trip riding on those seats. David G.

Darren B
Thanks guys, not a real update but, I was in a dollar store today and came across these plastic halloween rings, they are a rubbery type plastic so I am not sure if the paint will stick to them but was thinking I could use them for something on this build or another build. On the Aztec warrior was thinking maybe a fender cover or something....
ChrisBcritter
Just a suggestion: Look at some images of the rain god Tlaloc. The rings around his eyes and protruding fangs/teeth might inspire a front end treatment. I know there many Aztec dancers around where you are - have you checked out their costumes for design motifs? Darren B
Christopher, actually the costumes and the brightly colored motifs are one of the biggest reason for the build, like this warrior, to me was to bright for battle but very intriguing , What I had originally planned for the grill was I was trying to carve out the Death Rebirth Deity that used to worship: but after so many attempts decided on the grill that I have now because it was easier to carve out, I have been playing around with different designs for the sides of the bed out of the foam to try to tie the bed ideas to the exterior but most of it just looks over powering. Darren B
No real updates, except I have decided on the final layout of the bed. I had to whittle the pyramid down on either side and decided to cut off 1/3 of the back of the pyramid to set it closer to the cab. I was at one point going to get rid of the pyramid all together but believe it ads to the over all theme. Will probably carve a design on either wall of bed wall for that carved stone look. Darren B
Thank you James, Placement for the hydro pumps in the main bed. I was going to place them under the truck along the frame rails but think ill just go with this type of layout.
Wonderbread Kustomz
If it was a bed dancer, i would say mount them underneath , but since it isnt, id definitely mount them like this... I really wanna do something like this someday

Ford guy
Wow Darren, your details are amazing! It's cool how you find these things in places I wouldn't think to look. I love the bumpers and the radiator.
Darren B
Thank you Roy, everywhere I go I drive my family nuts because no matter what, I always look at things and think can I use this for model building or for one of my lastest builds? Turned a couple hydro tank caps, I usually forget to add these to the pumps....
Darren B
decided to cut the foam open at the bottom of the trailer to let some grass show.......

Darren B
Darren, those pumps look sweet! I can't wait to see this in paint James, hopefully by the end of this week or beginning of next ill be getting some color on it. I have reached the point that i want to get this one finished, I was hoping to have it ready for our fair in sept, we have a pretty good turn out and a few of my past builds got best of show. Was hoping this was the best of show for 2013, but have until the 6th of september to get it finished..... may not make that date however. Darren B
pretty much the final layout for the beds, really itching to get this one done, i have reached the point of being tired of it and want to get on to the egytian raider build. and the detail pops out after a coat of primer on the interior foam... the grey is not the finished color on the stone work, im shooting to get a tan color out of the stonework kind of the shade the pyramid is colored in the bed of the pickup...
