aksarben
Here is another project just finished, a 73-77 Chevy fleet side, G-machine/pro-touring style. Scratch built frame, suspension and engine. Aoshima wheels in Pegasus sleeves, wagon rod rear tires. Scratch built rotors and calipers. Rustoleum black laquer, testors one coat clear. All comments welcome. aksarben
Thanks everyone for the great comments. That is a jaw dropper Steve!! Excellent work on the chassis and exhaust. What's the exhaust made from? Aluminum tube or solder? The exhaust is made from solder and the tips are aluminum tube. Looks like this thread got moved, it was in the "under glass" section. I guess it's not considered a "model" since it is half die cast. Oh well, it was just as fun and rewarding to build as any plastic kit I've put together. aksarben
Great looking truck, Is that the engine that comes with that diecast? Thanks Joe, no this engine was built from scratch, the only kit pieces in it are the tranny, the water pump and the ignition coils. The engine from the die cast was really basic, not much usable except for the air cleaner. I might use it in a future project. Steve
