Jeff Johnston
Here is where I am on the AMT 67 Mustang. Build time is less for me these days because of a very busy time at work. However, I hope to have it done for the local show up here in October. I am planning Lime gold with black GT Rocker panel stripe.

kelson
Looks good so far, after you clear coat car ,do you usually use a polishing kit on it for a better shine or just leave it as is?

Jeff Johnston
the rib detail is part of a Replicas in Miniatures of Mayland Resin conversion kit. It also comes with non GT grill emblem and stock hubcaps. The side scoops are part of the kit as well.
MrObsessive
Nice job on the door openings Jeff! That can a be a little tough to do because of the creases in the doors themselves..................the color looks great!
kevin
thanks jeff, thought he stopped making the gt conversion kit the rib detail is part of a Replicas in Miniatures of Mayland Resin conversion kit. Jeff Johnston
thanks jeff, thought he stopped making the gt conversion kit I think he has too. I actually emailed him prior to NNL East 2007 asking him if he could bering me one. He cast one up for me, and brought it to the show. He did mention at the time that he no longer does it. But he still has the mold, and I'll bet he'd do one on request. He did for me, and he does not know me at all.
Jeff Johnston
Looks good so far, after you clear coat car ,do you usually use a polishing kit on it for a better shine or just leave it as is? Hey Kelson. I will hit it with a couple coats of 2-part urethane clear. After Iit dreies for a couple weeks ,I'll definitely polish it (with polishing cloths), and finally with some fine cut polish and carnuba wax.( I sometimes get away with not having to polish. If its real warm, the urethane clear will tend to lay dowm smoother...But that's really a ratiry. Even if it looks good after the clear dries, it always looks better after a polishing. Jeff Johnston
Nice details Jeff! The Burtex trunk mat looks great! Is that a decal? Hey Bill. Actually the trunk mat is just a photo of plaid fabric that I made into a B$W photo via photoshop. I print it on plain white paper and cover it with clear packing take to give it that slight "shinyl vinyl" sheen Here is the pic I use if you want to use it.
