Faust Posted April 15, 2014 Share Posted April 15, 2014 Okay, I'm sure this has been asked a thousand times, but I can't find an answer. How do I get the swirls out of my paint. They don't show on metallic colours, but on my Hertz SVO, I'm all swirly on the hood. Any ideas? I could really, really use the help! Thanks, guys! Faust Posted April 15, 2014 Author Share Posted April 15, 2014 I have used the Novus on test pieces; the Novus seems to leave more scratches than the Tamiya compounds. BirdWatcher Posted April 16, 2014 Share Posted April 16, 2014 A good carnuba just may remove any haze left by polish. I like to use micro fiber towels...cut up in to small pieces. I use one for Novus No.1 and put it directly in front of my bottle, one for Novus No. 2, and so on so as not to contaminate my last polshing cloth. Blown03SVT Posted April 27, 2014 Share Posted April 27, 2014 Sounds like soft paint. Tread lightly use a very soft high quality micro fiber and apply Meguires No. 7 Glaze to lightly fill the swirls.
