  1. Yeah. The tires had extreme gaps when I did that so I just settled for how it is lol. I plan on purchasing new rubber for it so I can correct it.
  2. Been a while since I’ve built anything, and figured this would be a great model to get me back into the swing of things. Left box stock just so I could get it done.
  3. Novice? You’re being modest. 🤪 Looks amazing!!
  4. Completed this today. Was more of a snaptite kit than anything else. Was hoping for something a little bit more challenging, but was still a fun build. Definitely offers room to practice detailing and damage aesthetics.
  5. I fall in and out of the hobby quite a bit. But decided to try to get back into it since fall/winter is approaching. So here’s my LS600hL. I wish I would have spent more time on my paint but after stripping it twice, I got tired of fooling with it. A fun build nonetheless. The kit manufacturer was Fujimi which reminds me a lot of Tamiya’s since the parts have minimal flash and fit together so well. Meant to put BMF around my window trim but since it’s been a while, my foil lost its adhesion. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  6. So my wife picked me up the Revell '32 for our Anniversary/ Valentines. I was planning to build it stock other than wires and such, but where's the fun in that. I've always wanted to build a Rat Rod so I figured this would be a good candidate. As it stands, little progress has been made. I'm currently trying to figure out the best way to drop the frame/ body to give the '32 that classic Rat Rod stance. Being my first time, I'm skeptical to cut my frame out of fear of messing it up. But I'll get there haha. Moving on, right now I have chopped the roof (also a first for me) and overall happy with my result. Needs some body work and such but will get to that soon. Any/All comments, questions welcome.
  7. Appreciate the comments guys! Completely forgot about the black needed for the exhaust. Will do that, thanks for the reminder. For the paint I used Folk Art Gun Metal Grey (Metallic) found at good ol' Wal-Mart. Sprayed using an airbrush and thinned with water. Cleared with Future.
  8. Here's my finished Cobra. Paint came out better than I could have imagined. Happy with the build up and went together pretty well. Any/All comments, critics, questions welcome.
  9. Awesome. Appreciate the insight everyone. It's a huge help.
  10. Makes total sense. I usually paint with Acrylic craft paints from Wal-Mart so I would imagine Duplicolor over too of it would create an issue. Still learning this whole paint do's and dont's. Haha
  11. Awesome. Will definitely look into it. Appreciate the insight and direction.
  12. So what would I get? That's where I also find myself getting lost. I'm not interested in having to decant clear coat if I can help it.
