tthis is an 1/12 scale oshkosh t1500 airport fire and rescue truck.i started this truck over month ago. little by little i will bring you up to date

it will have a working roof mounted water cannon, lower doors will open and slide, engine compartment will open, lights and sounds of the deal

here i started with tirea and rims.the rims were mad from 3 different rims to get the width and style was looking for. the tires are from rc4wd

the rails i have in stock and cut them to length, i beleive i cut them to 32 inches long

the axles are of a military style duece-in-half

i started on the cab today

drawing up where everything goes

there a panel under the bumper. its hard to tell if its hinge or not. so im going with screw on panel door.ive also added the rivets/screws

SANY0588.jpg

started on the front bumper

i found a perfect match for the light buckets and lights

the bumper is 236mm wide x 26mm high x 28mm deep

im still working on the front bumper. theres a lot of stuff thats involve in making this function

ive decided to make a working bumper mounted water cannon. it will turn l/r but not up/down

i needed to make a compartment that was accessible

also install pull ring and fog lights

the front panel under the bumper has a hose and reel in it. i m going to put one in it. it will be static. but an excellent thought for the next truck

for now the face plate and bumper is done

still alot more to do but the basics is all done

tomorrow i will get started on the sides of the cab

hey hey

my tank came in. i had to go with a lot bigger tank. the one i had didnt hold much water

this tank is a cook pan. lol 8x8x3 inches. it holds 110 oz. which is just under a gallon

all i have to do is drill and tap a hole at the bottom and put a seal top on it

Really wonderful build sequence pictures. With those pictures you should maybe post your plan drawings. I get the feeling others may want to try build something like this. It will make an outstanding display model even without the working water hose, etc.
