teardrop96
About 6 years ago, I read in one of the modeler mags about painting steering wheels and other interior items to look like wood. It combined I believe three different colors-possibly orange clear, red and "blank"! I am a senior styrene guy, and I just plain forgot. Can someone give me the names of the colors I need. Much obliged-cool in Texas
Chromecop
The different colors depend on what kind of Wood You want it to lok like! You can use jut about any color from White to black. Always start with the lightest ad end with the darkest. Use very Little paint and "drybrush" it on the Surface. Good luck!
southpier
I've had good luck with khaki or earth brown base, scribbles with a .01 art pen for wood grain, & then a coat or two of transparent orange. all paint Tamiya acrylic bottles. wood varies so much, nobody will tell you you're wrong with the end result, so it's just what makes you happy. unclescott58
I just use Testors enamel paint called wood. On steering wheels it looks good to me. Scott
