ajwheels
I haven't done anything in 1/8 scale since i was a kid.......got the bug again, so I thought I would put up a few images of this Chevrolet big-block with the Muncie 4-speed.........mostly 3D printed, with various brackets and such done in styrene............ blunc
looks great with one exception, the starter appears to be sitting too high, it should line up with the bulge in the bell housing/flywheel cover.

ajwheels
HI TONY, NICE JOB ON THE DETAIL PAINTING Thanks Tom..........at this scale, most everything is a separate piece, so it lends itself to contrasting details................. ajwheels
Wow! That's gonna be a big Vette! Yea, Glenn, that's the big drawback to 1/8 scale for me........where to put this thing when I'm done?...............though I get as much fun out of building it as I do in displaying it............I personally think 1/12 scale is the sweet spot.....big enough for real detail, yet it will fit on a shelf somewhere................ ajwheels
Thanks, Danno.................. How did you do the shift linkage? It looks fantastic! Harry, the Hurst shift mechanism is a printed part.......it was pushing it a bit, but workable.......fastener heads and such are separate pieces.......the levers at the trans are styrene and the rods are piano wire............ Ferrari-Cobra
Tony, Great job in creating the 3D model (ok all your 3D models) as it looks great! Now for your building skills......wow! I think that you need to keep it up and build some more! How about a Corvette Grand Sport? David Ewald
