Raul_Perez
Very nice, James!! I like the suttle weathering!!
lizardlust
Masterful conversion work so far - the weathering makes it appear delightfully used!! Interesting subject matter as well - when I see Maynard Troyer I automatically think "Modifieds"!!
FordRodnKustom
I'm really liking this build James. Please keep us posted on your progress. I'm planning a build of one of Maynard's Falcon asphalt modifieds. Your Ford just might give me the motivation to get going on it!

I'm planning a build of one of Maynard's Falcon asphalt modified. Your Ford just might give me the motivation to get going on it! Thanks Ron, it has been fun. I'll be doing some more detailing and body work until the weather breaks some. I don't want to hurry the paint on this one. I also am doing The Falcon Modified! I purchased all the pieces, resin body, tires and wheels, donor kit and decals. I'll be doing later this year.
FordRodnKustom
Now that's cool! This is what I've gathered so far for my build. I have a lot of work to do!

FordRodnKustom
Thanks, I didn't have those. Here's a few more for you. Looks like an earlier car, or a track rule thing. Note the front fenders.
James2
I'm not sure. Lancaster had a season where the rules stated the Mods had to run full fenders. Most guys hated that rule and fields droped until they change it back!
MojaveRacer208
Very cool thread, to old Falcon and Ford guys like Keith and me!
James2
I have learned that the fendered car was built like that as a Modified. He most have cut the fendres off at a later date!

Thanks for that update James. That's kinda what I thought. Probably somewhere around the mid 60's with the fenders and late 60's to early 70's without, just before the Pinto. James2
Thats great, the pinto that started it all! This one even had carpet inside, they were not sure if they would show it or race it. But race it they did and they won. ALOT! My Falcon body came from FRW and is fendered. Maybe I'll do that car to be defferent! http://www.fredsresinworkshop.com/ Edited March 6, 2008 by JAMES2
