buck smallwood Posted January 6, 2010 Share Posted January 6, 2010 Hello my wife got me the rust all system for Christmas and was wondering if someone could give me ant tips on how to use it i know its a four step system ,i was wondering if there were any tricks some of you might know,this is my first time rusting something ,Im also stuck on what kind of base color to use.thanks for any help... kingiguana Posted January 6, 2010 Share Posted January 6, 2010 Buck, I belive flat black would be a sure bet for a base color. I've used it before, and that "other magazine" did an article on it back probably in the late 80s early 90s. Do it over a container, and have a funnel, so you can pour the extra back in the bottle. Just experiment with different bases, and amounts of the rustall. I do know it works well, along with chalks to even further enhance it.
