Pullin Gears
Because I didn't have enough projects, I decided to start another! I built the backhalf a while ago with a parts box rear and evergreen rod, I didn't want your average C-notch: I threw some spikes in for good measure I stole the wheels off the Revell custom 99 Silverado, with a little black wash Then I got the bodywork done, starting with shaved handles: a molded-in roll pan: and last but not least....... a cowl hood entirely too big for a truck with no body drop and a stock motor: Stay tuned....paint and interior next! george 53
It'sa LOOK yer goin for. If ya want ta soup up the motor, thats a WHOLE DIFFERENT skill set! It does look good so far though. I gotta fondness for these lil trucks, as I had one, and it was VERY dependable with that lil V-6!

Pullin Gears
Thanks! I managed to get the front end done, I ditched the twin I beam suspension; I used upper control arms from a Revell 99 Silverado: The steering rack is stock ranger, I cut and bent it "slightly", the lower control arms came from the parts box It will have a just a little negative camber Then I assembled the interior, box stock with some paint detailing: My favorite part is the hand-painted eye ball shift knob I smoothed out the top of the dash a little bit, the tan is cheapo hardware store enamel Then I mocked up the interior on the frame and mounted the front wheels Sneak Peak of the paint! Pullin Gears
Thanks Carl! I managed to get the motor painted: The valve covers will be body color And installed: Now I'm just waiting on paint to dry!
Skydime
That's one sick Splash! I like how you used the 99 Silverado upper control arms to make the suspension 98 up Ranger style. 1:1 Rangers (and Fords in general) usually have massive negative camber but, since this is a model kit, I think it looks pretty daggon good the way you made it subtle.
