  1. lol i laugh now. The supra kit wasnt very detailed, a kit by AMT and i ruined that years ago trying to mate it over a pro stock chassis if i remember rightly. i didnt have a clue what i was doing and ruined two kits lmao
  2. So, believe it or not, I took a break from painting warhammer 40k - partly because the heat we had was making my paint dry on the pallet and brush. Taking advantage of the heat and the empty garage i threw some paint on this. It came out great! I just wish id prepped the body now. This kit has probably been sat in the box for 15+ years after many attempts at ruining it with the interior done. lol It has no engine as the v8 disappeared at some point and the inlet manifold for the 6 cylinder went down the plug whilst washing it having stripped the chrome of it..... The wheels are actually from the fast and the furious toyota supra. This was also another go at using bare metal foil for the chrome. The colour is ford aztec bronze. It sparkles in the sun quite well. Theres two more builds in the works too!
  3. its builds like this that motivate me to get back on the model cars! Your scratch building is amazing and i love the context.
  4. Finished these two, the first in a long time. Its been a busy year! I used the salt technique to achieve the weathered paint/rust. The first is Revell's kit of the T2 panel van, I stil lneed tto add a few little bits and some detailing but its mostly done. Next is a 1:32 scale beetle from Airfix, which I promptly whacked with the lowering stick. I had to cut the tops of the front wheels of to clear the front fenders lol. More than chuffed with how it came out considering it was a few hours work and its way smaller than what I'm used to, The stance cme out spot on, its just of the deck with a slight rake. I'm tempted to replace the kit window glass as i feel its too thick for the scale, we'll see. A few littke bits left that will require tweezers and patience!
  5. ill be watching! i love watching fast freddy run at santa pod when he comes over. He's twin turbo now, and on a test and tune run, he pedalled, wheelied at the eighth and still ran a decent time. His eighth mile burnouts are expected lol
  6. normally Id say the blown hemi. But a twin turbo dragster is something I'd love to see!
  7. I'll be watching! Does anyone know if theres a 66 bonneville or catalina available as a model? My Dad has a 66 pontiac ventura, so I need the "full size" pontiac, not the goat to build a model of it.
  8. this will be a great pair of slingshots. I love the bit in the clip above where he gets out in front and theres that animal noise. If you know the films you know that noise! I think its details like that, that make a film.
  9. this is insane! I'll be following this build for sure.
  10. very nice, I finished one of these recently too.
  11. some friends of mine went to that, said it was pretty good.
