sportandmiah
I tested some Alclad II Chome on some scrap sprue yesterday and have a few questions: 1. Once sprayed over black enamel, is it permanent once dried? Or can it be wiped off? 2. Can parts that have Alclad chrome be glue together? Or do i have to scrape some of it off in order for the glue to stick? 3. Alclad Klear Kote...is.this a clear coat for paint or is it a clear for Alclad chrome, aluminum, etc? sportandmiah
I ran my fingernail over the alclad after a few hours, very lightly, and it removed it. Are you not supposed to touch this stuff once applied? Do i have to scrape off alclad to glue parts? I know its advisable with chrome and paint, but what about alclad? GeeBee
I always leave my Alclad a day or so to really dry out, never had a problem with it coming off when I touch it.
brad4321
Everytime I've used Alcad, it's rubbed off very easily. Most people say they find it very durable. I do everything as close to the instructions as I can. But the stuff rubs right off if I handle it at all.
