dino246gt
Swiss cheese? Looks like that one's been sitting in a field a bit too long! Can't wait to see it with some "color" on it!

bobthehobbyguy
Looks good so far. How did you do the Swiss cheese effect.
440 Magnum
Thank you for the comments. Bob: The Swiss Cheese-effect is accidental. I drilled the holes with my X-Acto knife... then i thinned the body with sandpaper. There is also a dilemma with this project... Should i do a evil rusted rat rod... or... a diorama... a 32 Roadster thats been sitting in a field since the 1950's....
crazyrichard
cool .. i do feel its too much like round holes .. the holes are quit large in diameter as well .... not ment offensive in any way .. but all the holes def should not be round .. never saw a perfectly round rusted hole ...and like said diameter is a bit large for rusted through holes now that i have complaint ..... i do have an idea for you > try to take scrap styrene flakes and glue them in the round holes .. doest have to close the hole or sit flush just fill them so it looks uneven and the holes become less big in diamter and at the same time loose the roundness .. in fact it could become like a uneven surface with tiny holes .. after gluing some styrene scraps in you can also go further and try some unevenness along the bottom using bondo .. i have tried a cool thing on a old barnfind body i did > i sawdes mfd wood and collected the superfine dust .. thats so fine and richt for 1/25 scale ... i put a just normal clear glue layer on some parts , sprinkled the mdf dust on it , let it dry and painted it > perfect uneven surface rust creates over time just a enthousiastic reply from my side .. not ment degrading towards your build !! ps .. with this ammount of rust damage i would vote for a dio with a old body in or around the barn or field Edited March 19, 2015 by crazyrichard
